Stonyhurst Wanderers

The earliest reference to the Stonyhurst Wanderers appears to be in 1883 when a Cricket XI toured Lancashire and played the College on the 30th July. A Wanderers team played annually henceforth for several years and a photograph exists of the Wanderers Cricket XI of 1885 which includes Arthur Conan Doyle. The cricket and rugby teams flourished in the late twenties and early thirties and were then revived post-war and continues today.

Shireburn 100 Club

This was set up to help fund the Wanderers activities. Through this we have been able to supply kit for the teams, help with entry fees and provide hospitality at matches.

We very much want to continue this support to our Wanderers teams, but to do this we need to increase the membership of the Shireburn 100, It is not quite the National Lottery but there is £110 to be won each quarter!

Membership is £12 per annum, and the draw is made quarterly. If you would like to join please complete the enclosed mandate and return it to Beverley Sillitoe at the Association Office. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
