18th August – A Tolkien Family Walk

We have arranged a Tolkien family walk to take place on Thursday 18th August. The walk will start at 12 noon at Hobbit Hill, where there is car parking and facilities are available. There will be two led walks, one for little legs which will take approximately an hour and a half and a longer walk that will take around three hours. It is a circular walk and so we will end back at Hobbit Hill, where we will provide you with a complimentary afternoon tea. There will also be a cash bar from 3.00pm. Weather permitting, we will have a bouncy castle for the children!

Now, whilst the walk and the afternoon tea are free of charge, there is another purpose to this invitation apart from the chance to enjoy a lovely walk with friends old and new. We would like you to bring a non-perishable food item with you, there will be a collection point, and all donations will go to Maundy Relief, which is the charity our Association President Julie Macfarlane OS78 is supporting during her year. So, we will feed you, please help us feed them!

Joining instructions will be sent in advance to those who book to come along. Please note that whilst dogs are very welcome, they cannot go inside Hobbit Hill. In order to arrange the catering, and to have an idea of how many children we may have for this family event it would be very helpful if you could indicate that you plan to attend by submitting the booking form below.
